HTML is Like the Blueprint of a House

Think of building a website as building a house:

  • HTML is the blueprint. It defines the structure of the house, like where the walls, doors, and windows will be placed. Without a blueprint, there’s no framework for your house!
  • CSS is like the interior and exterior design. It defines how your house looks — the paint color, flooring, furniture, etc. While HTML gives you the skeleton of the house, CSS makes it aesthetically pleasing.

Example:

HTML Structure (Skeleton):

<div>
<h1>Welcome to My House</h1>
<p>This is the living room.</p>
</div>

CSS Styling (Interior Design):

div {
background-color: beige;
border: 2px solid black;
}
h1 {
color: blue;
text-align: center;
}

In this case:

  • HTML builds the rooms (the div, h1, and p elements).
  • CSS adds the paint and furniture (background colors, text colors, borders).
