๐น๏ธ Drone Flying is Like Playing a Video Game
If you’ve ever played a video game with a controller, you already have a head start! Many drones are controlled with a joystick system similar to a video game console. Hereโs how it relates:
- Throttle and Pitch: Just like moving a character forward or backward in a video game, you use the left joystick to adjust your droneโs height (throttle) or direction (yaw). Want to “jump” higher? Push up on the joystick for more throttle.
- Roll and Yaw: Similar to controlling a car or characterโs movement in a game (turning left or right), the right joystick moves your drone sideways or rotates it to face a new direction. Itโs as if youโre steering a car in the sky!
Just like in video games, practice makes perfectโthe more you practice, the more natural the controls will feel.
